It will be presented in the city from November 11 to 13.

From November 11 to 13, downtown Puerto Vallarta will once again be filled with art and color with the "XV Vallarta Madonnari Festival 2022", an event that returns after three years of absence, organized by the Sister City Committees of Puerto Vallarta and Santa Barbara, with the support of the City Hall, a space for expression, promotion and cultural exchange and friendship.

In a press conference, Laurel Carrillo Ventura, member of the organizing committee, announced the details of this traditional event that promotes culture and this tourist destination. For this edition, more than 100 people are expected to participate, including children and adults, who will be freely expressing their work in the main square of this port and the side corridors of the municipal palace, making an ephemeral painting on pavement with the use of pastel chalk.

He explained that registration is free and those interested may participate individually or in teams in the categories Children (under 8 years old), Junior (under 12 years old), Youth (under 18 years old) and Adults.

The organizing committee will assign spaces and deliver the materials to the participants on November 11. The designation of winners and awarding of prizes will be on Sunday 13th.

He pointed out that this time the first two places in the adult category will win a ticket and their expenses paid for a trip from Puerto Vallarta to Santa Barbara, where they will have the opportunity to participate in that city's festival next year. Likewise, in the different categories, prizes will be awarded to the first three places.

On this occasion, there will be seven to 10 artists from Santa Barbara, who will be the judges of this contest and will qualify drawing, composition, use of color and depth of the works, in addition to the fact that they will show their works at the event.

He emphasized that for this edition, the schools of the municipality were previously visited to encourage a greater participation of the children.

He also thanked the valuable support of the sponsors who join this event. For more information, please call 3223060363.

Other organizers were also present, including Andrés Famanía Ortega, vice-president of the Puerto Vallarta - Santa Barbara Sister Cities Committee, who thanked the municipal government for its support to this festival.
