The main objective of this program is to contribute to improving the quality of the air we breathe.
The Ministry of Environment and Territorial Development (Semadet) issued the decision of the Fourth Call for the selection of Responsible Verification Centers (CVR) belonging to private companies. A total of 33 lines were put out to bid in this call for bids, 17 for the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (AMG) and 16 for the municipalities in the interior of the state. Initially, 21 applications were received, whose representatives participated in virtual clarification meetings from November 29 to December 3, 2021, in which all their doubts were answered by the staff in charge of the execution of the Responsible Verification Program (PVR), which gave greater clarity to the participants in the process. After this stage, seven Technical Proposals were received for the installation and operation of the CVRs, the rest withdrew without proceeding to the next stage. PUERTO VALLARTA A total of 22 verification lines were authorized in the municipalities of Zapopan, Zapotlanejo, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, El Salto, Puerto Vallarta and Lagos de Moreno. The results of the call are available at the following link: http://gobjal.mx/CuartaConvocatoriaEPV.
As in previous calls for proposals, the Technical Proposals were reviewed in detail to determine the viability of each project, taking into account the capacity and location of the proposed spaces, as well as compliance with the image aspects and the architectural construction model, for which purpose field visits were also made to all the proposed sites. After an exhaustive evaluation of the seven technical proposals received, six of them were granted a favorable opinion to start with the procedures and construction of the Responsible Verification Centers (CVR). The list of winners is published on Semadet's website (https://semadet.jalisco.gob.mx), and the favorable opinions will be notified to the winning participants from February 24 to 28 of this year.
The start date of operation of the awarded verification lines will depend on the time it takes for the construction of each Center. However, each participant submitted a work execution schedule as part of their technical proposals, as established in the Regulations of the State Law for Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection regarding vehicle verification. MANDATORY VERIFICATION Today, the Verificación Responsable in Jalisco is mandatory for all vehicles that circulate permanently (including foreign vehicles) in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (AMG) and the Ciénega Region. As a result of the first three calls, there are currently seven Responsible Verification Centers (CVR) and one mobile line that have been operating since the first quarter of 2020, having a total of 29 verification lines with the capacity to perform 1,595 tests per day. In addition, 76 more lines have yet to be built, as a result of the first three calls for the establishment of CVRs by private parties, and 22 verification lines have been added as a result of the fourth call. The Government of Jalisco is working to guarantee coverage for the vehicle fleet throughout the State, and at this moment we have the installed capacity to verify the obligated sector according to the month-plate calendar. We must make it very clear that the true objective of this program is to contribute to improve the quality of the air we breathe, and for that we must tune up our vehicles, therefore that has been the call for citizens since the beginning of the administration.
