"Kambalache," the Book Party at Los Mangos Library.
The night of the rain that lashed Puerto Vallarta was the night of "Kambalache," a marathon event that lasted from 10 am until 9:00 pm, showcasing the grand book festival.
The enlightened people of Puerto Vallarta gathered to exchange their books and purchase offerings brought by various publishing houses and bookstores. The products were displayed on tables, and through conversations and smiles, the books were perused, read, and promoted.
As the afternoon progressed, the Art events began with a marvelous musical group—a duo playing Alternative Rock with an ecological message and lyrics advocating Love and Life. Undoubtedly, they displayed creativity of the highest order. Next, a passionate violinist took the stage, reminiscent of Paganini, who captivated the audience with several musical pieces, notably the execution of Camille Saint-Saëns' "The Swan," part of "The Carnival of the Animals" suite, which, in classical ballet, is known as the "Dying Swan" piece.
To close the night, Victor Hugo, Cactus, and other local writers shared their literary works, concluding with Batis, a renowned writer from Vallarta who is also a dream reconstructor, always inspiring new writers to reconstruct their ideas and capture them in a work for the benefit of humanity. He has been responsible for publishing poems and short stories of many members of the Vallarta community in a recognized city newspaper.
In the end, thanks to the rain, the community waited amidst lightning and hurricane winds for the storm to pass. The lights went out, and the engines of creativity ignited, giving birth to countless works of art in the minds of the gathered writers. We eagerly await the creative results of this night filled with magic.
