PYE Community Shines in This Grand Contest.

The Poets and Writers Community (PYE) enthusiastically participated in the children's poetry contest organized by the Los Mangos Library. This initiative aimed to contribute to society and bring culture closer to children and youth. Additionally, it sought to promote the works of PYE community members.

With the participation of approximately 25 poets, the contest featured first, second, and third-place winners. Gyneth Calab emerged as the grand champion, an impressive feat considering she is only 16 years old, showcasing remarkable talent in writing and poetic expression.

The awards ceremony, attended by around 50 people, honored the winners. Procoro Hernández Ortiz claimed third place, Mel Bravo secured second place, and the coveted first place went to Gyneth Calab for her poem "Tic-Tac." This piece vividly illustrates a moment when a child expresses gratitude for the love of their parents from their unique perspective, where time moves at a different pace than it does for adults, and filial love shines as life's greatest treasure.

Mel's work delved into the realm of a paper airplane, while Mr. Prócoro chose to tell a school-themed story. All the artworks presented were exceptional, and it is likely that the Los Mangos Library will consider them for inclusion in a collective publication.
