Young Talent from Puerto Vallarta Represents Jalisco in Rhythmic Gymnastics

A significant portion of the Rhythmic Gymnastics team in Jalisco hails from Puerto Vallarta. Talented girls from Vallarta are set to represent rhythmic gymnastics in the state. The Rhythmic Gymnastics group at CEDEM in Puerto Vallarta has been a home to a group of gifted girls who have been successfully representing the state of Jalisco in national competitions. Their hard work continues to make a significant impact on the sport at the national level, according to Mayra Mondeja Pineda, coach of the CEDEM selection at COMUDE Puerto Vallarta.

For the National Competition, three girls from Class II have qualified to compete from August 4th to 7th in Mérida, Yucatán, where the girls from Vallarta will strive to bring home a couple of gold medals for the state of Jalisco. While COMUDE will only cover the coach's expenses, the parents are willingly covering the flight costs to take their daughters to compete and represent Jalisco. Each parent will spend around $10,000 to support their daughters in the name of Jalisco. The Federation will provide them with a jacket as a gift, but all other expenses are covered by the competitors' families.

The girls from CEDEM dedicate around 3 to 4 hours of training every day to achieve the excellent results they have always attained. For this reason, Puerto Vallarta offers a top-notch option for aspiring young athletes seeking high-performance training. They are currently training from 8 am, now that they are on vacation. For those interested in joining this fantastic discipline, they can take advantage of the COMUDE Summer Course, where they will receive gymnastics classes, and if they enjoy it, they can join the regular groups after the holidays.
