In spite of being category 4, it hit with less force.

Since very early in the morning the high waves hit the malecon area, which caused some tiles to come off, which were quickly removed.

Activities resumed immediately and the malecon was filled with tourists and residents who observed the destruction left by hurricane "Roslyn", so some people took pictures next to the detached tiles.

The category 4 hurricane, classified as dangerous, caused minor damages in Puerto Vallarta. As the hurricane made landfall, its strength diminished, which helped it not to cause serious damage, before continuing its trajectory.

The effects were minor so that tourist activities began very early in the morning. Jalisco Civil Protection authorities reported that the first effects of the hurricane began to be felt around 5:00 a.m. this Sunday morning.

Among the first effects of the hurricane were a moderate rain on the coast, strong wind and brief power outages, in addition to the swell that began to increase and hit hard areas such as the Romantic Zone and the boardwalk of Puerto Vallarta, as well as the north and south hotel zone, Mismaloya and Marina Vallarta.

The National Meteorological Service reported that Hurricane Roslyn had weakened in its passage along the coast of Nayarit to category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

In Nayarit, it caused very heavy and intense rains, which caused landslides and flooding in low-lying areas.

It should be noted that it is hurricane season and the authorities ask to be attentive to any indication.
