In view of the imminent drop in the number of cases presented, they ask to continue taking care of themselves.
The Jalisco Ministry of Health reported only 43 Covid-19 infections in all municipalities of the state yesterday, with zero deaths due to the disease.
During the 40th epidemiological week (October 2 through 8 of this year), 503 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were reported (238 less than the previous week), for a total of 683,314 people infected.
During the same period, three deaths from this disease were reported (the same number as the previous week), for a total of 19,806 deaths reported for this cause up to that day.
In view of the arrival of the winter season and with the objective of maintaining the monitoring of Covid-19 cases in schools, Jalisco will resume the application of rapid tests in elementary schools starting this Monday.
These tests will be applied randomly to educational personnel, in order to detect, isolate and provide care to possible cases and thus cut transmission chains.
It is worth mentioning that, at this moment, SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection positivity indicators are at their lowest levels of this year. However, the objective is to maintain surveillance and thus protect the entire educational community.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health of Jalisco (SSJ) continues to urge Jalisco residents to get vaccinated. In the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (AMG) there are 27 health centers with vaccines available to be applied and avoid the risk of complications: nine health centers in Guadalajara, three in Tlaquepaque, seven in Zapopan, three in Tonalá, two in El Salto and three in Tlajomulco; there are also vaccination modules in the Red Cross Morelos Park (Guadalajara) and the Red Cross Toluquilla (Tlaquepaque).
From October 10 to 14, there will continue to be open days to apply boosters to people over 18 years of age; to immunize adults who have not been vaccinated (Cansino unidosis is applied to them in order to have a complete schedule, since it was approved by the World Health Organization as a single dose) and to apply the pediatric dose to children from five to eleven years of age (first doses, and second doses 21 days after the first vaccine is applied).
In some units it is possible to go by appointment, which can be obtained through the state platform vacunación.jalisco.gob.mx, where you must choose among the modules that offer this option. There are also several health centers where no appointment is required.
In inland municipalities there are also open days for people over 18 years of age with the Cansino vaccine and for children from five to eleven years of age, with the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric dose.

Whether you have an appointment or not, you must bring your complete documentation: CURP, federal record, official ID (of the adult accompanying the minor) and, if applicable, proof of the last dose received and appointment with printed QR.
In Jalisco, from October 3 to 7, 7,610 vaccines were applied, of which 5,003 were from Pfizer-BioNTech laboratories for children from five to eleven years old, who received the pediatric dose authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO); and 2,607 doses of Cansino for adults were also applied.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES
The SSJ reiterates that the Covid-19 pandemic is still active, so it is important to continue with preventive measures. In Jalisco, since last May 10 and until October 31, 2022, the use of masks continues to be mandatory in hospitals and health infrastructure; in public transportation, air and sea terminals and truck stations.
The SSJ requests the use of masks in case of suffering from any respiratory disease, even if it is not COVID-19, or if you are immunosuppressed or feel at risk of infection. It is a right to use it.
It is also recommended to continue with frequent hand washing with soap and water and/or use 70% alcohol gel; avoid crowds in closed spaces. These measures protect vulnerable people and those who have not been vaccinated.
In case of mild symptoms or close contact with a Covid-19 positive person, it is recommended to isolate immediately and visit a physician, who will determine if a test is required.
In case of persistent cough, respiratory distress, unrelenting fever or blood oxygenation less than 92, the patient should go to an emergency department and not wait for a confirmatory test of the infection.
