In addition to 10 deaths; this is the most recent report from the state

In the last 24 hours, Jalisco reported 1,511 new cases of Covid-19, the lowest figure since January 6, when 1,400 cases were registered in a single day, according to figures from the Jalisco Health Secretariat. With this figure, the state has a total of 406,022 cases so far in the pandemic since March 2020. In addition, the agency reported 10 new deaths associated with the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 to 18,679. According to the analysis made by the academic of the University of Guadalajara, Victor Gonzalez, the number of virus detection tests performed was lower than in the previous week, since from February 7 to 12, 67,130 tests were applied, while in the week from February 13 to 19, 46,420 were applied. On a national level, Mexico registered this Sunday 163 new deaths and 5,714 infections due to Covid-19, which brings the total number of cases to 5,413,425 and accumulates 315,688 deaths in total, informed the Ministry of Health.

With this data, Mexico ranks 16th in the world in the number of confirmed infections and fifth in the number of deaths due to this cause, only behind the United States, Brazil, India and Russia, according to the Johns Hopkins University count. YELLOW LIGHT On the other hand, Mexico's Ministry of Health released the epidemiological risk traffic light, where Jalisco returns to yellow, due to the drop in the number of Covid-19 cases. With 16 states in green and 16 in yellow, this Monday the Covid-19 Epidemic Risk Stoplight comes into effect, which will be in effect until March 6, informed the Ministry of Health. Thus, for the next two weeks, the country will have 16 states in green color in the epidemic risk traffic light and 16 states in yellow, among them Jalisco. This will remain in effect from Monday, February 21 to Sunday, March 6. None of the states will be red (maximum risk of contagion) or orange (high risk). The yellow traffic light means that there is still a medium risk of virus infection and green is low risk.
