The Governor of Jalisco delivered these state-of-the-art classrooms.
With the aim of creating inclusive spaces that promote favorable environments for the teaching-learning process through the use of technology integrated into Jalisco's educational model, Governor Enrique Alfaro Ramírez delivered three Educational Innovation Classrooms - Google Classrooms, to an equal number of schools located in Guadalajara, San Pedro Tlaquepaque and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga. These classrooms, highlighted the President, support the change of synergy that the educational model of Jalisco has had by migrating from a face-to-face scheme, before the COVID-19 pandemic, to a dual scheme supported by distance education. These Google classrooms, added the Governor, come to strengthen the work of educational transformation in terms of infrastructure and equipment in schools in the 125 municipalities. "We are working on this, on the transformation of our education system, and I am very pleased to have allies of the prestige of a company like Google and, above all, to be able to have in teachers, in all educational staff, in children and adolescents also great allies for this transformation," said the governor.
Alfaro Ramírez assured that the Government of Jalisco continues working to eliminate the digital divide and promote the education of students in the state, for which the Jalisco Network will be an essential support to achieve important changes in the educational model. The three classrooms delivered today were for Enrique González Martínez Elementary School in Guadalajara; Juana de Asbaje Elementary School in San Pedro Tlaquepaque, and Elías Nandino Vallarta High School in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga. These classrooms are each equipped with 40 Chromebook's and 1 charging cart, and will be used by 938 students and 38 teachers. For his part, the Secretary of Education, Juan Carlos Flores Miramontes, explained that since 2019 Jalisco started with the pilot test of the program and with this the digital transformation of the education system has been strengthened. "Today what we are doing is taking one more step to use the great communication access route we have.
Today all educational grades in Jalisco have integrated projects, it is easy to say, but an integrated project is the accumulation of a number of Jalisco specialists who dedicated themselves, in the midst of a pandemic to develop a scheme where we train in a comprehensive manner, we do not only favor memorization or factual, procedural content, but we bet more on the attitudinal, "said the secretary. As of today, there are 341 Educational Innovation Classrooms - Google Classrooms in the state. In order to get the most out of the equipment, specialized training has been provided to directors and teachers. The event was attended by the Director of Google for Education in Latin America, Rodrigo Pimentel.
